Meet Dentist Antonela Polotanu

• Antonela was born in Romania and received her DDS degree in 2001. Later she obtained her Master Degree in Oral Medicine in 2007 at the University of Washington.  In addition she completed a summer fellowship  in Prosthodontics and a one year fellowship at Seattle Cancer Care Alliance, treating and monitoring oral complications in patients undergoing oncology treatment.
• Since her graduation,  Dr. Polotanu has maintained her relation with the school in various roles either as clinical instructor in Emergency Dental Clinic or as practicing dentist within the department of Oral Medicine. Currently she is an Affiliate Faculty. Outside the school setting she is a member of various study clubs dedicated to implant and restorative  dentistry.
• As a clinician, Dr. Polotanu  believes  her most important role is in the education and prevention of dental diseases  and that restoring dental health should be done by conservative approaches  but utilizing the most advanced treatments and materials available.
• Antonela and her husband love the Pacific NW.  They always try to squeeze in an additional ski run when time allows ( or not) and enjoys working around the house and planting trees and shrubs or mastering the cook top.
